Jonathan S. Daitch, MD
Dr. Jonathan S. Daitch earned his medical degree in 1984 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and became a board certified Anesthesiologist in 1988.
Dr. Daitch served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps at Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton, Ohio. While working at Wright-Patterson, he began his specialization in the new field of pain management. As the field of pain management evolved, Dr. Daitch furthered his skills and received board certification in Pain Management. In 1991, Dr. Daitch moved to Fort Myers to provide anesthesia and pain management services at Lee Memorial Hospital. He was instrumental in forming the first pain clinic at Lee Memorial Health System.
In 2001, Dr. Daitch started his private practice, Advanced Pain Management Specialists (APMS), dedicated to the care of patients suffering from chronic pain. APMS was the first office-based pain management practice offering state-of-the-art treatment in Southwest Florida. With the continued success of the practice, APMS added physicians and expanded to Cape Coral.
In 2005, Dr. Daitch achieved the highest certification possible in his field by becoming a Fellow of the World Institute of Pain. He is board certified by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and is also certified as an Independent Medical Examiner. Dr. Daitch serves on the executive committee of the Florida Chapter of this society. He also teaches courses on pain management at the state and national level.
Apart from medicine, Dr. Daitch is an accomplished violinist. He plays chamber music and concertizes with local orchestras. He is an avid golfer and an ardent supporter of the annual Edison Science Fair. He has three beautiful daughters and his charismatic wife Bobbie is a healthcare consultant to this and other medical practices.
Ivan A. Samcam, MD
Dr. Ivan Samcam grew up in Miami, FL and graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Biochemistry. He continued his education at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL), receiving his medical degree (MD) in 2014.
His interest in chronic and acute pain was cultivated during his residency in Emergency Medicine at Orlando Health Hospital. Subsequently, he completed a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL).
After providing pain management services in Tampa, Dr. Samcam joined Jonathan Daitch, MD in 2018. In the Advanced Pain Management & Spine Specialists office as well as the adjoining Park Center for Procedures, Dr. Samcam provides some of the most advanced techniques and technology available in southwest Florida. Through minimally-invasive procedures, most patients are able to regain comfort and ease of motion without surgery.
Board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine, Dr. Samcam is also fluent in Spanish.
